Toyo Gakujutsu Kenkyu (Vol. 62 No. 2)

The latest issue of the Toyo Gakujutsu Kenkyu (東洋学術研究) (Vol. 62 No. 2) contains the second series carried over from the last volume's special feature ‘A Struggle for Peace’. It contains edited lectures and articles that discuss the ways in which we as a human race can address the icreasingly complex and diverse global issues of growing environmental crises and war from the perspectives of international law, history, religion, and welfare.

The ideas of Hannah Arendt are featured in the series ‘Values in a Life of Tumultuous Times’, where Japanese philosopher Ichiro Mori discusses Arendt’s On Revolution in depth and the possibilities of contemporary Japanese political philosophy.

A second series of the special tripartite talk ‘What is Oriental Philosophy?’ that appeared in the Toyo Gakujutsu Kenkyu Vol. 60 No. 2 (November 2021) is also included in this issue. The talk is titled ‘Oriental Philosophy Today—Exploring the Archē (Origin)’, and participants discussed the various issues of oriental philosophy. Other content includes a column, contributions, and research notes. The main articles of the past issues of the Toyo Gakujutsu Kenkyu are available in our database.
